The concept behind PBDW’s design was to create a dignified place of learning where students who face learning challenges would feel a sense of ownership and pride in their school. While the academic programming at Cooke is cutting edge, its former facilities were antiquated, and the students’ experiences were often compromised due to physical and environmental constraints. With dedicated breakout rooms, specialized classrooms, and therapy and counseling spaces throughout, the new facility rises to the challenge.
