Patrick Mc Gowan founded Mc Gowan in 2001 and under his vision and guidance during the past fifteen years the firm has continued to grow into a significant market present construction firm. In addition to overseeing the firm’s daily operations, Patrick is responsible for interfacing with new potential clients to present the firm’s construction capabilities. His passion for the business and his understanding of construction services are an essential part of the firm’s continued growth and its ability to achieve impressive client loyalty.
Prior to starting Mc Gowan, Patrick had been a senior project executive for over twenty years with a major construction services firm active in the NYC marketplace. Patrick holds two degrees from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, the first a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management & Engineering Technology, and the second an Associate degree in Civil Engineering. Throughout his more than thirty years of project experience in the NYC construction marketplace, Patrick has worked in all levels of the construction trade including laborer, foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager, VP of Marketing and President of a large, regional construction firm.
Martin Mc Gowan is responsible for overseeing project operations as he serves as Project Executive for the firm’s larger, more significant construction projects, involving both interior renovations and ground-up construction. Martin’s close supervision of Mc Gowan’s projects allows for his “partnering” with the firm’s clients as they benefit from his daily involvement with their projects. His attention to detail and construction knowledge adds tremendous value to all aspects of the entire construction process.
Prior to joining Mc Gowan, Martin worked alongside Patrick as a Senior Project Manager at their previous NYC regional construction firm for over ten years. His wide range of construction project experience includes completing over two million square feet of projects for many large national clients.
Martin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, where he received three Dean’s Awards for Academic Excellence. In addition, Martin received a National Diploma in Quantity Surveying & Construction Management from Waterford University and a National Certificate in Construction Studies from Sligo University, both institutions located in Ireland.
Christopher Flores is responsible for managing Mc Gowan’s internal financial and project accounting activities, including financial planning, operations and administrative payroll operations.
Chris has been with the firm for more than eight years. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematical Science from Kean University.
Since joining Mc Gowan in 2006, Junior Pichinin has worked hand-in-hand with owners, architects and contractors to develop accurate cost models customized to a client’s needs. He is responsible for budgeting, conceptual and hard bid estimating of all renovation and new construction projects, from concept to final design drawings, including the $90 million Dream Downtown Hotel project, the Marriott Residence Inn conversion in Lower Manhattan, and several large educational institution projects.
Junior holds a B.S. Honors Degree in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University with an emphasis on Construction Management and earned the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006.
Darren O’Reilly has been with Mc Gowan since 2013, first working as an Assistant Superintendent / Assistant Project Manager on the Marriott Residence Inn hotel project, then later moving up into a Senior Project Management position. His notable projects in Manhattan include 515 West 29th Street Condominiums, Nightingale Bamford School, Moise Safra Center and 230 Classon Avenue in Brooklyn.
Darren is responsible for overseeing the team’s project management during construction of a project, from permitting to project close out, inclusive of but not limited to scheduling, contract preparation and negotiation, monitoring subcontractor work and performance, change order preparation, submittal and RFI process and managing the close out phase on select projects meeting client expectations.
Darren attended Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street in Dublin, Ireland, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Surveying with a focus in Construction Economics & Management (Quantity Surveying) as well as a Bachelor of Technology with a focus in Construction Technology and Management. Darren worked as a Quantity Surveyor (Cost Manager) on projects in Ireland and the UK before joining Mc Gowan.
