Podiatry Suite at Saint Francis Medical Arts Pavilion

Mc Gowan served as General Contractor for the complete interior fit-out of Dr. Sims Podiatry suite located at the St. Francis Medical Arts Pavilion in Poughkeepsie, NY.  The 4,000 square foot medical office was part of a multi-faceted project for tenants of the medical center affiliated with St. Francis Hospital and developed by Rendina Companies.

Dr. Sims Podiatry suite houses a waiting room, reception desk, private offices, medical examination rooms, X-Ray room, X-Ray control room, administrative office, personnel cafeteria, bathrooms, storage and utility areas.

The finishes include VCT flooring in common areas, carpeting in private offices, painted sheetrock walls, suspended acoustical ceilings, custom millwork and cabinetry, and luminescent lighting fixtures. Medical equipment includes an X-Ray machine and foot baths. Also installed were new HVAC ductwork that feeds into the building's air distribution system, a new electrical system, distribution panels and plumbing.

Due to the building being under construction, the elevators were not functional in the initial phase of the project. The team addressed the situation by removing glass panels from one of the windows and hoisting all materials into the site with a boom. The project was completed on-schedule in four weeks.
