Much of the proceeds raised to support the Mc Gowan Foundations’ endeavors originate from the Mc Gowan Charity Golf Classic, an event that has been successfully raising over $100,000 in donations each year, and from the TD Five Boro Bike Tour across New York City. We’re always grateful to the participants who offer their support.
A non-profit organization formed to foster research and educational efforts to help people with Down Syndrome, created in honor of the Mc Gowan brothers’ beloved Aunt Loretta. In less than ten years the charity raised in excess of one million dollars, proceeds which were largely allocated toward the education field.
Ultimately, the Loretta Mc Gowan Foundation aims to raise enough funds to establish its own facility, furthering Down Syndrome research and education in addition to providing a safe haven where individuals with Down Syndrome can socialize, learn and find happiness.
In memory of their brother Vincent, the Mc Gowan brothers established a foundation to provide support and guidance to people with depression so that they and their families may strive to attain a better life. Charitable donations are applied to deserving organizations that help individuals cope with depression and suicidal ideation.
