Cadence Performance Cycling Center

Cadence, a world-class cycling and multi-sport company, retained Mc Gowan as General Contractor for construction of a new training facility and retail outlet in the Tribeca area of Manhattan.

The project entailed a complete build-out of a retail store area, a café, a bicycle training and testing room, a sporting equipment repair room and offices on the street level. Also installed were a machine-powered 12 ft x 8 ft Endless Pool, locker rooms, bathrooms, showers, as well as storage and mechanical rooms on the lower level and new MEP systems.

The retail section features custom display furniture, gypsum board ceilings, hardwood floors, and suspended and track accent lighting fixtures.  Other finishes and fixtures at the center include a custom millwork reception desk, drywall and exposed brick walls, ceramic tile and carpet flooring, drop ceilings and inlaid lighting fixtures.

Due to the shared location of utility connections across multiple building tenants the Mc Gowan team employed a detailed schedule to closely coordinate MEP systems work with the landlord and neighbors.
