YMCA - Prospect Park Aquatic Center

Mc Gowan served as General Contractor for the ground-up construction of a new Aquatic Center totaling 27,000 square feet to supplement an existing 3-lane pool. Minor renovations were made as well on the existing, fully-operational Prospect Park YMCA facility.

The new structure includes a long-span roof framing system over the five-lane pool to accommodate future floors, men’s and women’s bathrooms, locker rooms, a new elevator, a state-of-the-art pool filtration system and full MEP systems including a dehumidification system.     

The project was planned and executed in phases in order to avoid disruption of the existing YMCA's daily activities.
