PNC Financial Services Group retained Mc Gowan to serve as general contractor for a series of ground-up and interior fit-out projects throughout Florida. Constructed as one of these assignments is a new PNC Bank branch office in Weston.
This ground-up project encompasses construction of a slab-on-grade foundation, hybrid load bearing CMU wall and steel structural system, all interior finishes as well as landscaping and paving work throughout the 2.5-acre site.
The structural system consists of steel columns, metal trusses and wooden roof support trusses above steel trusses. The gable roof features lightweight terracotta barrel tiles. The facade includes a brick veneer, stucco, double height aluminum and glass storefront, and precast concrete window sills and moldings.
The bank’s interiors feature an entrance/ATM vestibule, a teller line area with six bulletproof windows, millwork, and a soffit ceiling with recessed lights as well as an ADA customer service booth, six LightSpace customer service rooms, a LightSpace conference room, an Internet banking station and bathrooms. Additionally there are back office facilities and a bank personnel break room.
All interior finishes including carpet and resilient tile flooring and millwork were installed, along with all MEP, safety and data and telecommunications systems. The customer service area features clerestory windows.
Mc Gowan was also awarded the new PNC Bank branch location in Coral Springs, Florida and the PNC Mortgage Servicing Center in Jacksonville, Florida.
