Mc Gowan served as General Contractor for the full renovation of the Stuyvesant High School Library, a key academic hub within one of New York City’s top public high schools. This 6,000 square foot interior upgrade was completed on an accelerated schedule during the summer break, ensuring minimal disruption to the academic calendar.
The scope included full demolition of the existing space and construction of a modern, flexible learning environment equipped with smart boards, multiple computer stations, group collaboration areas, a writing center, and offices for the English department. The reimagined space now serves as both a technology-enabled learning commons and a welcoming setting for quiet study and school events.
