The modern new office space for Motorola, Inc. houses a reception lobby, two open office areas, private offices, a multi-purpose room, five conference rooms, a cafeteria and four bathrooms.
The interior features custom-designed curved glass walls in the conference rooms, sheetrock walls, Panelite honeycomb composite sliding doors in both the multi-purpose room and private offices, a cubicle furniture system in the open office areas, carpet tiles and suspended acoustical ceilings.
The new MEP infrastructure included an Uninterruptible Power System with a battery bank located in a dedicated battery room. Additionally four steel beams were installed and connected to the building’s structure to support the weight of the UPS battery bank.
Other installations included a new electrical distribution system and new plumbing, a revised ductwork layout that was tapped into the building’s HVAC system, and new telecommunication and IT systems.
The Mc Gowan Team coordinated advance orders for several long-lead items, including the UPS system and custom glass walls.
